In this day and age, most of us are familiar with the importance of collagen. It's what gives your young skin its full, supple appearance. And when it breaks down, you may begin to see skin laxity and facial wrinkles. When the collagen goes away, it takes facial volume and elasticity with it, leaving you with a face that may look older than how you feel inside.
If you aren't ready to grow old gracefully, treatment with RADIESSE® wrinkle filler can bring back your own natural collagen and restore facial volume, with results that may last a year or more in many patients.
The Evolution of Injectable Fillers
We live in exciting times when it comes to the science of beauty. Injectable fillers can replace the lost collagen and volume, giving us the full cheeks and firm skin of youth. That's something all those expensive creams, lotions, and serums just can't deliver.
Facial fillers have come a long way from the days when collagen was the only injectable, and was typically only an option for aging celebrities and socialites. Women today have a variety of good options for injectable fillers, but when it comes to your face, good just isn't good enough. RADIESSE® wrinkle filler does more than just "fill-in" lines and facial wrinkles – it replenishes volume and stimulates the production of your own natural collagen with results that last up to a year or more.
Out with the Old, In with the New You
With all of the dermal filler options out there, it can be hard to determine what actually is a "breakthrough" and what is just the same old product with a different name. Be sure that you're in the know when it comes to choosing the most advanced filler to replenish what time has taken away.
Naturally Superior
Radiesse dermal filler works with your own body in a remarkable way. Upon injection, it immediately adds volume to safely contour, correct, and beautify facial features. And unlike other fillers, RADIESSE dermal filler continues to work over time. With its patented microsphere technology, it starts a process called collagenesis, stimulating your body to produce new collagen and encouraging collagen to grow around the injection area. RADIESSE dermal filler actually helps your body create its own naturally younger look, setting a new standard in facial contouring and augmentation.
Safe
Radiesse dermal filler has been clinically tested extensively for years, with excellent safety and efficacy results. It has received CE mark certification, two FDA approvals, and a number of FDA clearances. RADIESSE dermal filler is made from a biocompatible substance that’s identical to what’s naturally found in the body. There’s virtually no risk of allergic reaction, and there have been very few side effects reported in clinical trials and actual use.
Immediate and Long-Lasting
Treatment with RadiesseE dermal filler is so simple and convenient, it can be performed during a lunch hour. You’ll see the results right away - and these results may last up to a year or more for many patients. The long-lasting effects of RADIESSE dermal filler can reduce the need for retreatment, which saves you time and money compared with other fillers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can products in the Restylane family be used?
The Restylane family of products includes Restylane, Restylane-L®, Perlane®, and Perlane-L®. These products can be used individually to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds or laugh lines); lipstick lines (the area just below the nose and above the upper lip); the corners of the mouth; and marionette lines (the area that extends downward from the corners of the mouth to the jawline).
The safety and effectiveness of products in the Restylane family for the treatment of anatomic regions other than nasolabial folds have not been established in controlled clinical studies. Patients should be limited to 6.0 mL per treatment.
How often should I be treated?
Restylane injectable gel has been clinically proven to provide results that last up to 18 months, with only one follow-up treatment at either 4.5 or nine months. Your healthcare professional can work with you to help you establish your Restylane Regimen. Perlane injectable gel results may last up to six months after a single treatment.
When will I see results?
The Restylane family of products instantly add volume to help restore youthful contours, so you’ll see results immediately following your treatment.
How much Restylane injectable gel will I need for full correction?
Due to the individual needs of each patient, it is important to discuss your full correction with your healthcare professional. However, in a clinical study where patients received full correction for their nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth) during initial treatment in the Restylane Regimen, the average volume was 2 to 3 mL per patient.
Are there any reasons why I should not be treated with Restylane?
Products in the Restylane family should not be used by people with previous bad allergies, particularly to certain microorganisms known as gram-positive bacteria, or by people with previous bad allergies to drugs who have required in-hospital treatment. These products should not be used by people with bleeding disorders. Injections should not be made anywhere except the skin or just under the skin. Restylane-L and Perlane-L should not be used by people with a known allergy to lidocaine. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18 years, you should not use products in the Restylane family.
What should I tell my healthcare professional before having a treatment with a product from the Restylane family?
You should tell your healthcare professional if you have previously suffered from facial cold sores. He or she may prescribe a medication to minimize recurrence. You should also tell him or her if you have recently used aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. John’s wort, or high doses of vitamin E supplements. These agents may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
What are some of the common side effects?
After your treatment, you may have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, and tenderness. This will normally last less than seven days.

Radiesse dermal facial filler is the ideal choice for total facial contouring. It can restore a healthy, youthful appearance, enhance your existing features, help you defy age and gravity, and increase your confidence – all without invasive surgery or scarring.
